FAQ - Student
1. What is the difference between an accredited course and non-accredited course?
An accredited course is a Nationally Recognised Qualification and can provide you with a Qualification Certificate, or a Statement of Attainment where you have only completed part of the course.

A non accredited course means that you are not participating in a Qualification, but you are attending training that may update your work skills and then be provided with a Statement of Attendance.

2. Can i get RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) for courses that M T & D offer?
Yes you can apply for RPL. However this is approved based on specific criteria in respect to the qualification. Please Contact M T & D directly to inquire about your specific needs.

3. Already have a Statement of Attainment, can I use it towards a full qualification?
Yes you can, as long as this is relevant and recent. A course completed 10 years ago will not be valid unless you you have updated the skills through other training.

4. Am I eligible for Financial Assistance when I enroll in a course with M T & D?
In many cases participants can access government funding for part if not all of their tuition fee. You must contact us to see if you are eligible this will be assessed on a number of factors, some may include:

* Are you unemployed.
* Are you a Job seeker.
* Are you an existing worker.

5. Do I have to have an employer to do a traineeship?
Yes, once employed in the workplace you will be signed up to an Australian Apprenticeship. Then you choose your RTO for the training, which can be delivered completely on the job in most cases.

6. How long does a traineeship/apprenticeship take to complete?
Traineeships are competency based. This will be a self paced individual experience generally in the workplace. You are given 18-24 months to complete, however if you want to complete sooner and are deemed competent, then you will complete sooner.

7. If I completed my RSA course with M T & D will this be recognised in other states?
Yes, with the exception of NSW. NSW are not recognising RTO's that are not on the approved provider list which can be found on the OLGR web site.

"...Completing a certificate in training is something I have wanted to do for a while, so when the opportunity to participate in a government funded Certificate IV in Training and Assessment came up, I jumped at the chance.

Mantra Training & Development have provided an exceptional facility in which to undertake this course. Our facilitator, Dale McCormac, has been able to articulate and clarify often obtuse concepts and structures, and has provided me with support throughout the course well beyond my expectations. I look forward to undertaking additional training at Mantra in the future..."
John Phillips
"...Fantastic - I learned more than I ever could have imagined.
I couldn't have asked for a better Trainer!

Not only was Donna professional, she was able to tailor the course specific to my needs, no one else has been able to do this for me.

I have been given new tools whereby I am now hungry for more..Bring it on..."

"...I have had the most fabulous time at this training course! I can’t believe after one year from when I first started I have finally finished. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to come back to Mantra and finish my Certificate IV in Training. What I have gotten out of it is that I feel so much more confident about standing in front of a classroom and ensuring I understand everyone’s needs. I think I have developed as an individual and as a trainer from completing this course. From the minute I walked into Mantra I felt a part of the “MANTRA FAMILY”. It is the most welcoming training academy I have come across. I would like to say thank you and that I loved the chats and I endeavor/strive to one day be like you.

Thank you Donna..."
